Day 1Hochiminh City – Ben Tre– Can Tho (L)
Boat excursion on the Ben Tre River, bike ride to Nhon Thanh village, exploration of local life, and interactions with the population.
8:00 AM: Departure for the Mekong Delta, heading to Ben Tre province. Upon arrival at the Hung Vuong pier, a motorboat excursion unveils the daily life in the Mekong Delta: fishing, goods transportation, etc.
A stop at a ceramic kiln factory will show you how bricks are decorated and baked. Then, a visit to a workshop producing coconut candies will reveal all the secrets of these sweets.
Your cruise will continue on the canals to the Cai Son and Nhon Thanh creeks, where local families specialize in mat-making.
The morning will conclude with a tasting of seasonal fruits and a tuk-tuk ride through idyllic landscapes of rice fields and vegetable gardens.
After lunch at a family-owned restaurant, you will explore the small canals along palm groves aboard a rowing boat.
Drive to Can Tho.
Day 2Cai Rang Floating Market – Chau Doc - Cham Muslim Village (B, L)
Boat excursion to the heart of the famous Cai Rang Floating Market, exploration of local cocoa processing
After breakfast, board a boat to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest in the entire Mekong Delta. Each boat on this market hangs its products on a branch (beo) to indicate to buyers what it sells. This visit is a delight of colors, sounds, and smells that engage all the senses. Walk to visit a rice noodle factory (Hu Tieu), a local specialty.
Explore a local market famous for its wide variety of fruits, vegetables, fish, turtles, mice, snakes, and more. Next, visit a cocoa garden, learn about the local cocoa planting and processing process, and then enjoy a glass of hot chocolate.
Then, on the way to Chau Doc. Visit the Temple of the Mothers Goddess.
Board a boat to visit a floating fish farm and a Muslim village of the Cham minority. Take a walk to discover local life and the village mosque, getting a closer look at this fascinating community and its traditional way of life.

Day 3Chau Doc - Traditional Khmer Craft Village - Tra Su Melaleuca Forest (B, L)
Begin your day with a visit to a traditional Khmer craft village. Stroll along winding trails through lush palm forests and witness the traditional process of palm sugar making. Learn about the intricate methods of palm sugar production and enjoy the natural sweetness of fresh palm fruit, palm juice, and palm sugar in a serene countryside setting. Take in the breathtaking scenery of vast rice fields dotted with elegant sugar palm trees.
Stop by an ancient Khmer pagoda to admire its stunning architecture and gain insight into its rich cultural heritage.
Then, wander through a charming village where skilled artisans craft Kran (clay pots, clay ovens, and more) using age-old techniques. Complete your cultural exploration with a visit to a traditional silk weaving house, where expert weavers bring exquisite silk creations to life.
Afternoon: Explore the Tra Su Natural Reserve (Tra Su Melaleuca Forest), an ecological paradise that is home to colonies of bats, over 100 species of seabirds, as well as endless waterways and abundant vegetation. Walk and boat through this secluded forest, surrounded by partially submerged trees.
This will be the perfect opportunity to recharge and get closer to nature during a peaceful afternoon in this protected reserve. Observe the wildlife, including various bird species.
Return to Chau Doc. Overnight at the hotel in Chau Doc.
Day 4Chau Doc – Tram Chim Tam Nong Bird Sanctuary – Saigon (B, L)
On the way to the Tram Chim Tam Nong Bird Sanctuary. Board the boat to visit the bird garden. There is a chance to see red-headed cranes, especially in November. Return to Saigon.
Optional: Cruise up the Mekong by speedboat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. You will arrive in Phnom Penh around 12:30 PM. For the Cambodian visa, you can obtain it upon arrival at the border.
