Day 1Hanoi - Hong Son, Immerse In Dzao Ao Dai Culture (L, D)
Embark on a private car journey from Hanoi to Hong Son, followed by a 2-hour trek offering a glimpse into the culture of the Dzao Ao Dai.
Your expedition commences with a drive to the administrative center of Hong Son. Step into the verdant tapestry of the Tay ethnic village, embarking on a gentle hike. After a 3 km journey, you'll reach the village of the Dzao Ao Dai, nestled against a mountain backdrop adorned with terraced rice fields. Cross a babbling brook, and as the terrain inclines, ascend slightly to reach your welcoming homestay.
Over the course of 2 hours, traverse mountainous terrain and picturesque villages, followed by a hearty dinner and a night in the company of a Dzao Ao Dai family, dormitory-style.
Day 2Hong Son - Nam Khoa, Immerse In Nung Culture (B, L, D)
A full day dedicated to trekking through terraced rice fields, along the foothills of Son Thanh waterfall, delving into the Nung culture.
Begin your day with breakfast shared with local hosts. Embark on a trek across mountain slopes, offering vistas of terraced rice fields and rolling tea hills. After an 8 km journey on foot, arrive at the village of Son Thanh, where the Dzao Rouge reside. Lunch in this enchanting locale grants an opportunity to witness local culture as porters prepare your meal. Son Thanh's elevation reaches 600 m.
In the afternoon, continue your journey, conquering a mountain with an elevation of 885m. From this lofty vantage point, behold the panoramic expanse of Nam Khoa's lush rice valley. Proceed through a bamboo-laden forest trail, eventually arriving at a Nung village. Traverse a distance of 6 km along this path to reach the Nung village, where you'll dine and spend the night.
Day 3Nung Village – Khoa Trung – Nam Ai (B, L, D)
Terraced rice fields, tea-draped hills, babbling streams - a deep dive into the Dzao Rouge culture.
Indulge in a hearty breakfast before embarking on a leisurely stroll through picturesque rice valleys and vibrant bamboo forests. Along your journey, cross paths with diverse ethnic communities such as the Nung, Dzao Rouge, and Dzao Ao Dai. Engage in conversations, exchanging stories about their way of life. After 3 hours of traversing this captivating terrain, you'll reach Khoa Trung village, a Dzao Rouge settlement, where a homestay lunch awaits.
In the afternoon, the adventure continues as you pass through the Gate of Heaven to arrive at the Dzao Ao Dai village of Nam Ai. A sumptuous dinner and a night spent immersed in local hospitality awaits.
Day 4Nam Ai – Doan Ket – Ho San (B, L, D)
We say goodbye to our guesthouse. We cross hills covered with wild tea trees to reach the village of Doan Ket. We continue our hike to the village of Tan Thanh, where we stop for lunch with a family from the Dzao Tapan ethnic group. Afternoon: We continue climbing the slopes through terraced rice fields to reach the village of Ho San Overnight stay with a Dzao Tapan family.

Day 5Hosan – Ban Luoc, The Terraced Rice Field Paradise (B, L, D)
Embark on a trek to uncover one of Northern Vietnam's most captivating terraced rice valleys, deeply immersing yourself in Dzao Noir culture.
In the morning: Traverse bamboo-laden forests, ancient tea plantations, and villages inhabited by the Dzao and Hmong communities. Witness the ebb and flow of daily life, observing locals engaged in their routines amidst fields and forests. Relish a picnic lunch amid the natural splendor. In the afternoon, follow a trail that unveils breathtaking panoramic views of terraced rice fields punctuating the valley.
After absorbing the awe-inspiring scenery, a waterfall oasis beckons. If time permits, take a refreshing dip beneath the cascade's cool waters. Concluding the day, continue on foot to your homestay nestled in a Dzao Noir village. Settle into a stilt house for the evening, relishing dinner and dormitory-style accommodations.
Day 6Ban Luoc – Hanoi (B, L)
Begin your day with a heartwarming breakfast shared with local hosts.
Embark on a trail different from the previous day's, encompassing a 1 to 2-hour walk. Continue your journey back to Hanoi.
