Morning: Visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first national university (established 1070). This serene complex honors Confucius and features well-preserved traditional architecture, courtyards, ponds, and gardens.

Next, explore Ba Dinh District. This area includes Ba Dinh Square, the botanical garden, the Presidential Palace (formerly the Governor's Palace of Indochina), Ho Chi Minh's stilt house, and the One Pillar Pagoda, one of the city's oldest monuments (built 1049).

Lunch with Hanoi specialties: Grilled pork and Egg Coffee.

Afternoon: Visit the Museum of Ethnology to learn about the diverse lifestyles, customs, and traditions of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups.

Then, immerse yourself in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, a bustling commercial center near Hoan Kiem Lake. This "open-air museum" is famous for its unique tube houses, narrow alleys, temples, and vibrant markets.

8:00 AM: Departure to Beo Pier on Cat Ba Island via the ferry between the two islands Cat Hai and Cat Ba.

Boarding at noon. Lunch on board.

Cruise in Lan Ha Bay, where you'll admire beautiful karst landscapes emerging from the emerald waters. Enjoy kayaking activity in the Sang and Toi region.

Return to the boat, where our chef invites you to participate in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. You are warmly invited to lend a hand.

Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Evening: You can join our team and have fun squid fishing before retiring to your room.

Wake up early and join the Tai Chi exercise on the upper deck. Opportunity to witness the sunrise amidst the karst landscapes.

The boat sails in Lan Ha Bay towards the fishing village of Viet Hai. Bike ride (or electric car) to visit Viet Hai. Located in a valley of Cat Ba National Park and surrounded on all sides by forests and mountains, the inhabitants of this village are isolated from other villages and towns on the island. The community is self-sufficient, with residents meeting their needs by growing vegetables and fruits in nearby fields, cultivating rice in the valley, and fishing in the bay. Return to the boat.

Early lunch as the boat sails towards Beo Pier. Disembarkation around noon. Travel by collective bus back to Hanoi. You will arrive in Hanoi around 5 p.m.

7:30 AM: On the way to Pu Luong where you will see a charming landscape adorned with terraced rice fields and stilt houses - houses embellished by vegetable gardens and areca palms. Stop along the way to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of small valleys of terraced rice fields: at the villages of Bang, Bam.... Lunch at a local's house.

Afternoon: Transfer to the suspension bridge over the Cham River, where you will see superb water wheels (norias) installed on the banks of the stream, one of the iconic images of Pu Luong. These gigantic water wheels are a clever irrigation system that brings water from the stream to the rice fields. Approach each wheel and discover this original irrigation method of the Thai ethnic group, you will understand how water passes from a river to a handmade bamboo aqueduct via very simple installations of all sizes.

Bamboo rafting along the stream to fully enjoy the serenity of nature and the picturesque landscapes on both sides of the stream. You can try paddling and steering your bamboo raft yourself. Visit to a family that practices traditional brocade weaving.

Evening option: Traditional Thai ethnic dance and folk singing performance.

After breakfast, take a walk along the small trails lined with tropical vegetation and stilt houses with roofs covered in palm leaves. Discover the beautiful rice valley of Don, Ngon Leo. Immerse yourself in the tranquil nature and enjoy a stunning rural landscape: terraced rice fields, ponds, stilt houses of the Black Thai people nestled at the foot of the mountain. Observe the daily life of the villagers and their agricultural activities. Take this opportunity to interact with the local residents and take beautiful photos.

Afternoon: On the way back to Hanoi.

Night train to Dong Hoi: Departure with SE 1 at 8:55 PM.

Upon your arrival in Dong Hoi around 7:00 AM, You'll be greeted by our guide and transferred to Phong Nha.

Visit to the Botanical Garden. A 3 km hike through lush tropical forest allows you to get up close to precious rare plants. Discover its biological diversity, admire the unique beauty of birds, butterflies, and the variety of flora including famous orchids, visit the Wind Thac Gio Waterfall, and the Vang Anh stream.

Afternoon: Visit to Paradise Cave: Discovered in 2005, 60m-80m in height, 30 to 150 meters in width, and measuring 31 km in length, considered the longest dry cave in Asia.

After a 2 km walk through the ancient forest, you will arrive at the cave entrance. Enter this fabulous cavern along the wooden bridge, a 1 km walk through magnificent stalactites and stalagmites that adorn its ceilings and floors. This adventure will make you experience unique sensations such as being "lost in an underground paradise" with huge white mineral formations as transparent as quartz. Its natural features make it resemble a landscape painting, very attractive to visitors.

Visit to the Vinh Moc Tunnels, which were initially constructed in the late 1940s to resist the French and were expanded during 1966 and 1967 to resist the Americans. The Vinh Moc Tunnels served as a refuge for the 400 residents of Vinh Linh during intense bombings in the American "Rolling Thunder" operation. Visit to the Hien Luong Bridge.

Afternoon: Discovery of the well-preserved site of Tam Giang Lagoon - one of the largest brackish water lagoons in Southeast Asia. We'll stop at a lakeside village on Dam Chuon - the widest part of Tam Giang Lagoon, take a short walk to meet the locals before boarding a small motorboat for a tour of part of the lagoon. Observing the aquatic life of local fishermen who often set their nets and traps in the fish-rich waters at this time. Initiation by a fisherman into local fishing techniques. Enjoy the sunset over the lagoon waters.

Start with the Imperial City, the heart of Vietnam's last feudal dynasty. Explore its key areas: The Citadel, Imperial City, and Forbidden Purple City, including landmarks like the Flag Tower, Nine Dynastic Urns, South Gate, Palace of Supreme Harmony, Thai Hoa Palace, and the Temple of Nguyen Kings.

Next, visit Thien Mu Pagoda, an iconic Hue landmark, notable for its 21-meter-high octagonal tower representing Buddha's seven incarnations.

Embark on a boat trip on the Perfume River to Thuy Bieu village, known for its "Thanh Tra" pomelo trees. Lunch at restaurant.

Afternoon: Take a leisurely walk through Thuy Bieu's orchards and garden houses, soaking in the serene, rustic atmosphere. Discover two unique sites: the Tiger Fighting Arena, where emperors staged tiger and elephant battles, and the nearby Voi Re Temple, dedicated to the elephants that fell in these fights.

Continue to the Tomb of King Tu Duc, a stunning example of traditional Vietnamese art, offering insights into the Nguyen Dynasty and French colonial history.

Enjoy a photo stop at a craft workshop specializing in incense and conical hats in Thuy Xuan. On your way back to Hue, pause at Bellevue Hill for panoramic views of the Perfume River.

Depart Hue for Hoi An, enjoying scenic views along Lang Co Beach and the Hai Van Pass. Visit to the Cham Museum in Da Nang, which houses the largest collection of Cham sculptures in the world.

Afternoon: Explore Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage ancient port town that beautifully preserves its 15th to 18th-century charm.

Take a leisurely stroll through its narrow streets, admiring the blend of Chinese, Japanese, and French architecture. Visit iconic landmarks such as the 17th-century Japanese Covered Bridge and the Phuc Kien Temple, a former meeting hall for Chinese traders. Explore an ancient wooden house of wealthy merchants (choose between Tan Ky, Phung Hung and visit a museum (either the Museum of Ceramics or the Cultural Museum of Sa Huynh).

Optional activity: Participate in a lantern-making workshop, where you can design and keep your own lantern as a unique souvenir.

Upon arrival, you board a round woven bamboo basket boat that has been used for generations by locals for fishing at sea. You peacefully glide along picturesque small canals with mangrove landscapes, lagoons, and water coconut trees - a moment full of serenity. Discover the locals' crab fishing technique. You will learn to make fun tools with coconut leaves. You will participate in cooking with the local family. Lunch with what you have prepared.

Departure for the My Son Holy Land, the most important Cham archaeological site in Vietnam located 40 km from Hoi An. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the My Son Sanctuary was the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom from the 4th to the 13th century. You can see a series of impressive sanctuary towers of 70 well-preserved red brick and stone architectural works, perfectly illustrating its spiritual roots in Hinduism. Walk through these Cham Towers. Possibility to attend the exceptional traditional Champa dance performance before returning to Hoi An.

Optional: Transfer to the Indochine Distillery at the beach south of Hoi An, where you will discover rum production.

Return to Hoi An.
