Itinerary
Sacred Valley of My Son, Traditional Cham Dance Show, Old Town of Hoi An
8:00 AM: Departure for the Sacred Valley of My Son, a Cham archaeological site - the most important in Vietnam located 40 km from Hoi An. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the My Son Sanctuary was the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom from the 4th to the 13th centuries. You can still see a series of impressive tower-sanctuaries, with 70 preserved works of red brick and stone architecture, perfectly illustrating its spiritual roots in Hinduism. Walk through these Cham Towers. Then, you will witness the exceptional show of traditional Cham dances before returning to Hoi An.
Afternoon: Visit to Hoi An - the main trading port of Annam during the 17th and 18th centuries. Today, it preserves its old-world charm and is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk along narrow streets lined with Chinese, Japanese, and French-style houses, and visit tourist sites such as:
- The Japanese Covered Bridge, built in the 17th century, still carefully preserves its original character.
- The Phuc Kien Temple, built in the 17th century, once the meeting hall for residents and merchants of the Chinese community from Fujian.
- An ancient wooden house of wealthy merchants: Tan Ky House or Phung Hung House or Quan Thang House.
- A museum: either the Museum of Ceramics or the Sa Huynh Cultural Museum...
- The local fish market
Optional (Please inquire): Introduction to lantern making.
