Explore life along the Mekong, Cai Be floating market, boat excursion to Vinh Long, visit craft workshops and orchards.

8:00 AM: Departure for the Mekong Delta to Cai Be. Upon arrival, motorboat excursion on a branch of the Mekong to discover the customs and daily life of the locals: fishing, transportation of goods, etc. Quick visit to the Cai Be floating market. Then, a short rowing boat excursion through small creeks and shaded fruit trees, enjoying the peaceful time. Return to your boat to cross the Mekong, one of the longest rivers in the world. The cruise continues to An Binh Island where you have lunch in an open-air family restaurant with local specialties.

Afternoon: Walk in the orchard. Enjoy tea while listening to Don Ca Tai Tu folk music.

Then, bike or walk along the village trails to discover local daily life: orchards, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses. Stop at craft workshops where you will discover specialties such as rice-popped popcorn, coconut caramel, rice cake, a bee farm... where you can taste honey tea or sweets with a cup of hot tea. Visit a pottery workshop before disembarking in Vinh Long. En route to Can Tho with a stop along the way to visit a Khmer pagoda, discovering its typical architecture and Theravada Buddhism.

Breakfast, then board a boat to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest in the entire Mekong Delta.

In this market, each boat hangs its products on a branch (beo) to signal to buyers what it sells. This visit is a delight of colors, sounds, and smells that stimulate all the senses. Walk to visit a rice noodle factory (Hu Tieu), a local specialty. The visit continues with the famous terrestrial market known for its wide variety of fruits, vegetables, fish, turtles, mice, snakes, and more. Next, you will visit a cocoa garden and learn about the local cocoa and chocolate planting and processing process, followed by a tasting of hot chocolate. Then head to Sadec, following in the footsteps of Mrs. Marguerite Duras. Sadec is known for its flowers and bonsai and for the novel "The Lover" by Mrs. Marguerite Duras. Lunch with a local family in the Tan Qui Dong flower village.

Afternoon: Visit Tan Quy Dong flower village. Then, visit the old house of Huynh Thuy Le, once the lover of Marguerite Duras. Walk along the river lined with beautiful colonial houses. Stop in front of Trung Vuong Primary School, where the mother of Mrs. Marguerite Duras (author of the novel The Lover) was the principal. Visit the Sadec terrestrial market where fruits, turtles, fish, mice, snakes, and more are sold. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. End of service.
