Explore the culture of the Dzao and Muong ethnicities, cruise in the freshwater

8:00 AM: Departure for Da Bac, taking a scenic mountain road.

11:30 AM: Arrival at a Dzao ethnic village with 70 families, known for agriculture and forest planting as their main sources of income. Participate in an "indigo wax cloth" craft workshop. Lunch at a local's home. Afternoon: Walk through the village and a short hike to the charming cave, located 2 km from the village. Visit a century-old tea plantation. The trek includes sections of steep and slippery slopes, so please wear proper hiking shoes for your safety during this activity. Head to the Muong Da Bia ethnic village next to the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at a local's home in a dormitory.

Explore the culture of the Muong ethnic group, cruise on the reservoir, walk through the beautiful rice valley of Dong Dieng, Bang, Bam, and discover local life

Take a walk to visit the Muong village where you will discover the fishing technique of the local inhabitants. Witness how the locals paddle with their feet. Cruise across the lake to reach the other side. On the way to Mai Chau, travel along the road shaded by bamboo. Stop along the way to see a waterfall. Upon arrival in Mai Chau, take a walk or bike ride in the valley (5 km – 20 km) to meet the local inhabitants. If your stay coincides with the planting or harvesting season, you can participate in agricultural activities with the local people, such as preparing the land with a buffalo, transplanting rice, or harvesting.

Evening: Folk songs and dance performance. Taste traditional Thai rice wine sipped through a straw (known as "Can"). For accommodation, you can choose between a homestay in a dormitory or an Eco-lodge.

Pu Luong's Terraced Rice Fields

On the way to Pu Luong, you will encounter a charming landscape with terraced rice fields and stilt houses. Take a short walk through the villages of Bang and Bam for beautiful panoramic views of small terraced rice valley. Transfer to the suspension bridge over the Cham River, where you begin your walk in search of impressive water wheels (norias), one of the representative symbols of Pu Luong. Get close to each wheel and discover the original irrigation method of the Thai ethnic group. You will understand how water travels from a river to a bamboo aqueduct handmade through simple installations of various sizes. Enjoy a bamboo rafting excursion along the stream to fully appreciate the serenity of nature and picturesque landscapes on both sides of the creek. You can try paddling and steering the bamboo raft yourself. For accommodation, you will spend the night in a homestay in a bungalow.

Immerse yourself in the calm nature and enjoy a stunning rural landscape: terraced rice fields, ponds, stilt houses of the Black Thai nestled at the foot of the mountain.   • Highly recommended equipment for your safety: insect repellent, hiking shoes (as the road can be slippery after rain).
