Itinerary
Sampan ride for the visit to Trang An, exploration of the countryside and local life in the Red River Delta.
8:00 AM: Depart for a village in the Red River Delta. Enjoy a peaceful bike ride through villages and rice fields. It's a great opportunity to discover the authentic rural life of the locals. You'll meet welcoming and hospitable farmers.
Afterward, you'll pick leaves in the family's garden and participate in cooking with the local residents: making Nem (spring rolls) and fried pork with medicinal leaves. Lunch will be hosted by the locals.
In the afternoon, visit Trang An, a UNESCO-recognized Mixed Heritage site in 2014. With its natural splendor and impressive karst formations, this site served as the natural backdrop for the movie "Kong: Skull Island." The highlight of the sampan ride is a loop lasting approximately 2.5 hours.
You'll board a traditional sampan boat that will follow the current and enter a series of caves. Upon exiting the caves, you'll immerse yourself in a new hidden world nestled within the valleys, in complete tranquility. You'll serenely row the emerald-colored river with a view of the karst mountains covered in tropical plants stretching to the horizon.
Disembark from the boat for a stroll through peaceful Pagodas and Temples honoring the most famous Mandarins of the Tran Dynasty. At the Presentation Temple, you'll see schools of red carp swimming and surfacing, which is quite entertaining, especially for children. The sampan excursion will continue, and you'll enjoy enchanting scenery until returning to the pier.

Useful Information
After the Tết (Lunar New Year) holiday, the period from February to March, as well as during national holidays like September 2nd and April 30th, is considered the high season for Vietnamese tourists. This results in a significant influx of visitors to the Trang An site. If you still plan to visit during this time, it's advisable to avoid weekends to make the most of your experience.
Out of respect for the places of worship you'll visit, such as temples and pagodas, it's important to dress appropriately. You must cover your knees and shoulders while visiting these sites.
