Road to Hoang Su Phi, easy hike to the Red Dzao ethnic village

On the way to the Hoang Su Phi region, land of terraced rice fields and mysterious festivals. Stop in Tuyen Quang to see beautiful tea hills.

Lunch at the restaurant. Upon your arrival at the Tan Quang crossroads, you will turn left, the road gains altitude and winds through an area inhabited by Dzao, Tay and Nung. The road opens onto a beautiful rice valley in the commune of Thong Nguyen.

You will arrive at the Red Dao village of Nam Hong in the mid-afternoon. Walk to discover the agricultural environment, their traditional habitat, customs and manners and the rice valleys in Nam Hong

Overnight in dormitory accommodation with locals or in a private bungalow depending on your choice.

Thong Nguyen Weekly Market – Easy Hike Through Terraced Valleys – Black Dzao Cultural Immersion

Morning: If it's a Sunday, start your day with a visit to the vibrant Thong Nguyen weekly market, where ethnic communities gather to trade local goods in a colorful atmosphere. Then, continue your journey to Ban Luoc commune.

Upon arrival, set out on a 2-hour easy hike along a scenic trail offering panoramic views over some of the most picturesque terraced rice valleys in Northern Vietnam. Along the way, you’ll pass breathtaking landscapes before reaching a hidden waterfall — and if the weather allows, enjoy a refreshing swim in its cool, clear waters.

Return to Thong Nguyen for an overnight stay.

Explore the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, including the Twin Mountains of the Fairies, Hmong, Hmong King's Palace, and the linen craft village of Lung Tam.

Start the journey through the extraordinary Dong Van Geopark Plateau, offering stunning landscapes between 1000 and 1600 meters above sea level. The road winds through mountains and karst landscapes, showcasing the majority of Ethnic Minorities. Enjoy the panoramic view of Quan Ba Valley and the famous Twin Mountains of the Fairies from the "Heaven's Gate" pass. Continue to the craft village of Lung Tam, , where H’Mong women preserve the ancient art of flax weaving. Explore Yen Minh town and enter the heart of the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, marveling at lunar landscapes, limestone circuses, and terraced fields. Continue the journey with a stop at a typical White H’Mong house and traditional hamlets with earthen or stilt homes.

Visit the Hmong King Vuong Chi Sinh's Palace, over 100 years old. Late afternoon, you will arrive in Lung Cu, home to the Flower Lo Lo, a rare ethnic group known for their colorful garments and preserved traditions. Overnight at a hotel.

Dong Van weekly market, crossing the Ma Pi Leng Pass, exploration of the Culture of Hmong minorities,

Coach trip to Dong Van, visit the weekly Dong Van market, held every Sunday. Here, you’ll encounter various ethnic minority groups. After selling their goods and buying what they need, locals gather at nearby restaurants to share a drink or enjoy a bowl of Thang Co — a traditional dish. It is said that if they drink too much, they hold onto their horse’s tail so it can carry them home.

Continue to Mèo Vạc via the stunning Happiness Road. Stop at the Ma Pi Lèng Pass for breathtaking views of the limestone mountains, the Nho Que River, and Hmong villages nestled on the mountain slopes. On clear days, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Chinese border ridge, just two valleys away.

Depart for the Du Gia Massifs. Along the way, marvel at lunar-like landscapes: limestone cirques and terraced rice valleys. Overnight stay with a local family.

One hour walk to discover the agricultural environment, traditional habitat and view of the lush rice fields surrounded by the Du Gia Massifs.

Cruise on Na Hang reservoir to Lam Binh. Admiration of the rare beauty of Lam Binh, sometimes called "Halong Bay of the mountains", given the presence of imposing limestone peaks on site. You will still see the dense forest there. Stop to visit the Khuoi Nhi waterfall, possibility of being massaged by the fish living in the stream
