4-Days Trekking Expedition in Cao Bang

Following breakfast, get ready for a 3-hour trekking adventure through Cao Bang's traditional craft villages. We'll start in Phia Thap, a Nung community that has perfected the art of incense making for over a hundred years. As we continue our trek through scenic fields, we'll reach Lung Ri, where you'll see artisans crafting the distinctive yin-yang roof tiles. The journey concludes with a visit to the Phuc Sen forging village. Tucked away behind dramatic limestone peaks, these villages of the Nung An and Tay ethnic groups feel like peaceful, isolated worlds where ancestral traditions continue to thrive.

Then transfert by car to Ban Gioc, embark on a hike along the Quay Son River, meandering through villages and stunning karst landscapes, including the cascading Co La Waterfalls. Enjoy a picnic lunch. Afternoon: Continue your hike through rice fields and ethnic villages. Pause to visit villages and learn about water wheels, a crucial irrigation technique for mountain-dwelling ethnic groups. Overnight stay with the locals.

Hike through Tay and Nung villages

Start the day with a homestay breakfast. Embark on a trek to a hilltop, where a breathtaking panoramic view unfolds: a stunning valley traversed by the Bac Vong River and encircled by majestic karst mountains. Descend from the summit to the Cao Thang Valley and Ban Viet Lake, offering an opportunity for a refreshing swim. Enjoy a picnic lunch.

Afternoon: Trek to Po Tau Village, passing through rice paddies, cornfields, and tobacco farms. Immerse yourself in rural scents and harmonious tunes. Dinner and overnight stay with the locals.

Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave, Return journey to Hanoi

Start the day with a homestay breakfast. Visit Ban Gioc Waterfall, located on the Sino-Vietnamese border. The mesmerizing beauty of these falls, reputed to be Vietnam's most stunning and the world's fourth-longest after Iguazu, Victoria, and Niagara, will leave you awestruck. The best time to visit is during the rainy season (July to October), but the allure persists year-round. Swimming is possible during certain times of the year.

A walk to Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda provides a panoramic view of Ban Gioc Falls. Visit Nguom Ngao Cave, renowned for its intricate stalactite and stalagmite formations, making it one of Vietnam's most beautiful caves alongside those in Phong Nha and Ke Bang.
