Day 1Ben Tre – Mo Cay – Vung Liem (L, D)

Board at Giong Trom with a welcome drink and start your scenic cruise. Enjoy a sampan ride through shaded waterways, visit a local home, taste tropical fruits, and discover a coconut wine workshop. Take a cycling tour through the countryside. Lunch by the river.

In the afternoon: visit a coconut workshop in Mo Cay and a traditional brick kiln in Vung Liem. Back on board for a Vietnamese cooking demonstration and dinner. Overnight anchored on the Co Chien River.

Day 2Vung Liem – Can Tho (B)

Morning cycling tour in Vung Liem with visits to a Khmer pagoda and a Caodaist temple. Explore the local market before disembarkation at 10:00 AM. Transfer back to Saigon.

Day 1Sadec – Vung Liem (L, D)

11:30 – Embark on the Mango Sampan at Sadec market. Enjoy a welcome drink (fresh coconut juice) and meet the crew.

Lunch is served on board.

Sadec is a small town made famous by Marguerite Duras’ semi-autobiographical novel about a young French girl who fell in love with a wealthy Chinese man, Huynh Thuy Le. Their story ended when his father arranged another marriage. Duras later returned to France, became a celebrated writer, and their true love story became well-known worldwide.Afternoon – Cycle to the famous Tan Qui Dong flower village, where flowers have been grown year-round for centuries and supplied daily to Saigon.Return to the sampan and enjoy a refreshing cocktail on deck while cruising toward Cai Be. Take in the peaceful landscapes and fresh river breeze.Later, the boat continues toward Vung Liem for a cycling trip to explore the area and visit a local market.In the evening, join a Vietnamese cooking demonstration, discovering local ingredients and traditional recipes before savoring dinner on board. The sampan anchors on the Vung Liem River overnight.

Day 2Vung Liem – Ben Tre (B, L, D)

Wake up to sunrise and enjoy breakfast on board as the sampan cruises toward Ben Tre, the land of coconuts.

Go ashore for a cycling trip through villages, rice fields, fruit orchards, and peaceful countryside. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with welcoming locals and experience rural life. The cruise makes several stops throughout the day for deeper discovery of the Mekong countryside.Lunch and dinner served on board. Overnight anchorage on the Ben Tre River.

Day 3Ben Tre – Phong Nam – Disembarkation (B)

Enjoy breakfast on board while watching the sunrise.Cruise toward Phong Nam village. Take a short walk to visit Mrs. Huong’s family, who live from fishing and fruit orchards.Continue with a sampan rowboat excursion through narrow canals lined with water palms.

Stop to taste tropical fruits and enjoy tea before returning to the Mango Sampan.

10:00 – Disembarkation and transfer back to Saigon.
