Day 1Cai Be – Mang Thit (noon) (L, D)

Board at Cái Bè around noon. Enjoy a welcome drink, meet the crew, and settle into your cabin.

The Bassac sets off towards Cho Lach along the Tien Giang River. Lunch is served on board, followed by time to relax on deck. Cruising through Chợ Lách Canal, experience the lively river traffic with markets, churches, and glimpses of daily life along both the banks and the waterways. By mid-afternoon, the Bassac anchors for a shore excursion: a peaceful walk beyond the first tree line to explore rice fields, fruit orchards, and the warm hospitality of the locals—or, if you wish, a short cycling tour of the area. Return to the boat and enjoy a complimentary drink at sunset.

Dinner is served while cruising along the Măng Thít River. T

Day 2Mang Thit - Can Tho - Depart (B)

The Bassac departs at 6:00 AM and cruises towards Cần Thơ. Breakfast is served at 7:00 AM.

On arrival in Cần Thơ, transfer to a local boat to explore the Cái Răng floating market, then visit a small bamboo basket workshop before returning to Ninh Kiều pier. End of services by mid-morning on shore at Cần Thơ.

Note: You will leave the Bassac permanently when boarding the small boat for the final excursion, usually around 8:00 AM. Program details and visits may vary depending on logistics or technical constraints.

Day 1Can Tho - Mang Thit (noon) (L, D)

Boarding at Ninh Kiều pier in Cần Thơ. Enjoy a welcome drink, meet the crew, and check into your cabin. The boat departs downstream along the Hậu River. Lunch is served on board while cruising.

The journey continues through Nicolai Canal towards the Măng Thít and Cổ Chiên rivers. Relax on the upper deck, taking in views of rice fields, sugarcane, and woodlands along the riverbanks. By mid-afternoon, the Bassac anchors for a shore excursion: a quiet walk beyond the first tree line to explore the peaceful countryside with rice fields, fruit trees, and welcoming locals—or, if you prefer, a short cycling tour of the area. Return on board and enjoy a complimentary drink before sunset.

Dinner is served as the Bassac cruises along the Măng Thít River. The boat anchors overnight on the Măng Thít River.

Day 2Mang Thit - Cai Be - Depart (B)

The Bassac departs at 6:00 AM and cruises towards Cái Bè.

Breakfast is served at 7:00 AM.

Crossing the Cổ Chiên River, the boat enters Chợ Lách Canal for about 30 minutes, passing sand and rice barges, fruit-drying facilities, and traditional wooden shipyards. On arrival in Cái Bè, check out and transfer to a rowing boat for a peaceful ride along a small canal (tide permitting). Meet a local boat that will bring you ashore for a visit to Cái Bè’s handicraft workshops. End of services by mid-morning on shore at Cái Bè.
