Cruise in Halong Bay, Me Cung Cave, kayaking activity

  • 8:00-8:30 AM: Departure for Halong Bay.
  • 12:00 PM: Arrival at the Emperor Cruise waiting lounge at Lot No. 28, Tuan Chau Wharf. Check-in formalities.
  • 12:00-12:15 PM: Embark on the boat. Welcome drink and a brief safety briefing and itinerary overview.
  • 1:15-2:00 PM: Lunch on board as the boat cruises through Halong Bay. Enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine while admiring the karst mountains rising from the emerald water.
  • 2:15-3:30 PM: The boat approaches the Nha Lat area. Visit Me Cung Cave – a spectacular destination with significant historical and archaeological value.
  • 3:45-4:30 PM: A small tender boat will take you to the Tung Sau area for kayaking to explore the stunning landscape of Halong Bay.
  • 5:00-6:30 PM: Enjoy afternoon tea with music and canapés on the terrace, and participate in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration class.
  • 7:00 PM: Dinner on board.
  • 9:30 PM: Free time for activities such as squid fishing with the crew (seasonal) or relaxing at the sun deck bar.

  • 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM: Depart the Emperor Cruise to board an excursion boat or speedboat to Viet Hai fishing village on Cat Ba Island. Bike ride along village paths through tropical forests and dark tunnels. Discover local life. Located in a valley within Cat Ba National Park, surrounded by forests and mountains, the residents are isolated from other villages and towns on the island. It’s a truly unique and authentic opportunity to meet local people and learn about their daily life.
  • Lunch: At Viet Hai village.
  • Return to the excursion boat or speedboat.
  • 1:30-3:00 PM: Explore the Cat Ba archipelago. Cruise to Cai Beo floating village, then head to Ba Trai Dao beaches where you can explore hidden beaches surrounded by vertical cliffs (weather and tide permitting), or simply swim and kayak in Tra Bau area.
  • 4:00-5:00 PM: Return to Emperor Cruise. Enjoy a massage service (extra charge) or participate in a special tour on Pham Luc paintings or Emperor Bao Dai’s palaces.

  • From Ninh Binh: 7:00 AM. The shuttle will pick you up at Tam Coc.

  • Accessibility: No elevator on board. There are cabins on the ground floor and the 2nd floor. The boat does not dock directly at the quay. A small boat is required for a 3-5 minute transfer from the quay to the hotel boat.
