Day 01: Hochiminh arrival (L, D)
On arrival Hochiminh. A private minibus and a guide pick up transfer to hotel for check in, Lunch at a restaurant, Afternoon visit Hochiminh city with Reunification Palace, War Museum, Jade Emperor Pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Hochiminh people committee’s building, Binh Tay Market, , on the way back we visit bustling China Town, and Ben Thanh Market and square. Dinner on boat on Saigon river. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Hochiminh – Caodai temple – Cuchi tunnel (B, L)
Cao Daism is an mixture of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. In this religious, Buddha and the Christian God are believed to both exist as deities, but Cao Dai is the third, highest deity. First found by Ngo Van Chieu in 1923, by 1930 there were half a million followers and over 2 million now.
In the morning, we are drive forward Tay Ninh, to see the ornate temple of Cao Dai and attend the fantastic mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. After lunch, we drive back on the way we will stop to visit Cu Chi tunnel The Cu Chi Tunnel system had been created long time back, from 1948 to assist Viet Minh in the combat with French. And it was continuing built over 25 years later. It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers. In places, it was housed up to 10,000 people who virtually lived underground for years.... getting married, giving birth. During the American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a free fire zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of tunnels have been open for visitors. Drive back to hotel and free in evening.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - Can Tho (B, L, D)
Our car will pick up at your hotel in early morning. Upon arrival at My Tho, embark a private boat to see Floating Fish Market. Then continue cruising along small creek to Mekong River estuary, to Con Phung (Phoenix Island) and stop over a garden restaurant at a local house for Vietnamese lunch. The motorized boat cruise more along natural creeks and quiet village in Ben Tre Province. Visit orchards, bee - keeping farm, taste natural honey and honey wine, enjoy tropical fruit, traditional music, see round a distillery, explore the local coconut candy production process, taste candy & coconut pulp. Then transferring to Can Tho. Diner and overnight at hotel
Day 4: Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
Cruising along the small and picturesque tributaries by rowing boat, we will see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). Take in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who lives along the Mekong canals and you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill and a rice noodles making shop. A nice chance to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in Mekong Delta. Have lunch at local restaurant before coming back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 05: Hochiminh depart (B)
You are free for shopping and visiting until time bus pick up and transfer to airport for flight departure
