Day 3: Sapa – Tram Ton – Altitude: up to 2,900 m (B, L, D)

Get ready for two exciting days.

First, you will travel by car to Silver Waterfall, where you can take a short walk. You will then be driven further away until reaching Heaven’s Gate, the highest stretch of roads in Vietnam bordering Lai Chau and Lao Cai provinces. From there you can enjoy the view on the beautiful valley and see Mount Fansipan, the “summit of Indochina”. Then, you will start a soft 2-hour trek before stopping in the forest at a nice spot to enjoy a good lunch.

Being reenergized by the meal, you will start hiking following a trail that will give you the opportunity to admire the beautiful scenery and enjoy the magnificent landscapes of Sapa area and Lai Chau province. You will finally reach the camp site, located at an altitude of 2,900 m, in late afternoon.

Relax and rest well before having a very tasty and well-prepared dinner.

Overnight at the camp site.

Day 4: 2,900m – Summit of Mount Fansipan (3,143m) – Tram Ton – Sapa – Night Train to Hanoi (B, L)

Start the day by having a good breakfast, before heading to the top of Mount Fansipan. You will climb your way up to the summit, from where you can celebrate your victory over this magnificent mountain peak. Take the time to marvel at the incredible panoramic view of the whole landscape from the top of the Fansipan, before trekking through the rainforest to go back to the camp site for lunch.

After lunch, you will follow a trail through Hoang Lien National Park until reaching the car where the driver will be waiting to bring you back to Sapa. You will get there in the afternoon and check-in a small hotel to refresh yourself and take a hot shower before heading to Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi.

You will reach Hanoi the next morning around 5:30am. End of service.

Note: Climbing up to the top of the Fansipan - at an altitude of 3,143 m – in just two days requires a physical effort, endurance and plenty of high spirit. The night at the camp site will be spent in a tent including a toilet. For safety reasons, we do not recommend this trip in case of bad weather.
