Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be Floating Market – Vinh Long – Can Tho (L, D)
We will leave Ho Chi Minh City in the morning and depart for the Mekong Delta. While on our way, we will see green rice paddy fields stretching past the horizon.
Upon arrival at Cai Be, a boat will take you to the floating market. After visiting the market, we will take a boat ride and cruise in the maze of small canals to visit An Binh islands (Vinh Long).
There, we will enjoy a tasting of local tropical fruits and get to know more about how local people cultivate their orchards and visit several workshops where different products are made, such as ceramics, popcorn, and rice paper.
Later, we will enjoy a bike ride and roam through the local village while admiring local handcrafts.
We will stop at Vinh Long market for a nice walk.
Finally, we will board a boat and cruise back to Can Tho while having a chance to look at the sunset.
Dinner and overnight in Can Tho.
Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – My Tho – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Today, we will cruise along the small and scenic rivers by rowing boat.
We will visit Cai Rang Floating Market, a perfect illustration of the daily life in the Mekong Delta. Take advantage of this moment and use your camera to capture the lively scenery.
After, we will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill and a rice noodles workshop.
Finally, we will go to Can Tho Market, before hoping onto a boat for a ride back to Cai Von, where a bus will drive us back to Ho Chi Minh City via My Tho.
