VECN02: Escape in Mai Chau – 2 days

You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning and depart for Mai Chau. After a ride on Thang Long highway to Xuan Mai, we will take small roads with less traffic. On the way, we will stop to visit a water wheel and a sugar cane plantation. In Hoa Binh, we will visit the Muong’s Culture Museum, home to a collection of objects that deeply illustrates the Muong people’s traditional life and customs. We will then continue our visit to a Muong ethnic village, where you will have the opportunity to witness the rural life.

Lunch with a local family.

After having a nice meal, we will head to Mai Chau and observe the amazing landscape made of many islands and islets. In Mai Chau, check-in at the homestay.

Dinner with your host family.

In the evening, you will attend a traditional show that includes a Mua Sap performance.

Overnight at the homestay.

Wake up and enjoy the atmosphere of the mountainous area. Have your breakfast before we start our 20-km bike tour through Mai Chau landscape.

We will pass by green rice paddies, charming villages, and beautiful natural settings until arriving at a Thai minority village. There, we will explore this friendly village and have lunch with a local family.

After that, we will go back to our car and return to Hanoi. We will reach Hanoi around 5:00pm.
