You will be picked up at your hotel in Hue then taken to the Citadel by cyclo bike. On the program: visits to the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, and Thai Hoa Palace, Forbidden Purple City and Thien Mu Pagoda, the latter being one of Hue’s oldest structure dedicated to religious worship. VDTC04: My Son – Half Day
You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to My Son (60 km southwest of Hoi An). Located in a lush valley, this World Heritage Site was the former capital and religious center of the Cham people. The remains are mostly made of towers and sanctuaries built with red bricks. Today, My Son is highly regarded for its historical value and considered to be in the same league as other Southeast Asian great archaeological sites such as: Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand, and Borobudur in Indonesia. Originally, there were 70 towers but only 29 still stand today. They are made of red bricks without mortar and were erected between the 4th and the 13th century. After the visit, you will be driven back to your hotel in Hoi An. End of the tour.

Today, our visit includes a trip to My Son (60 km southwest of Hoi An) – the holy land of the former Cham Kingdom. This archeological site is home to major Cham remains and is recognized as a World Heritage Site. After visiting My Son, we will go back to Hoi An and have lunch at a local restaurant. Then, you will have the opportunity to tour by foot in this charming little town, with visits to several places including pagodas, the Japanese bridge, the Old House of Tan Ky, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall. The tour will end around 4:30pm.

There, you will have the chance to board a boat and cruise towards Lang village, a marine protected area. You will visit the boat shelter, Hai Tang pagoda, the fishing village, and local market. After the visits, we will have time to enjoy snorkeling, dive and swim in the middle of beautiful corals or take a sunbath on the beach. After that, we will have lunch at a local restaurant before going back to our boat and sail towards the harbor. Finally, you will be driven back to downtown Hoi An. End of the tour.

Tra Que, located only 3 km from Hoi An, is a village specialized in growing numerous vegetables and herbs that have been existing for hundreds of years. Today, we will take a short bike ride to the local market of Hoi An, where you will have the opportunity to interact with local sellers and discover the ingredients that will be used in the cooking session later. After that, we will head to Tra Que by bicycle.
Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink before walking through the gardens, where local famers work on their fields using traditional methods. After visiting the gardens, you will participate in a cooking class with a local Chef, who will teach you several traditional Vietnamese dishes. Enjoy the lunch before heading back to Hoi An. VDTC08: Cam Thanh Water Coconut Palm Village – Half Day
You will leave Hoi An and go for an excursion to Cam Thanh, a beautiful village full of palm trees. Upon arrival, you will board a boat and navigate on Thu Bon River. You will appreciate the beautiful scenery on the two sides of the river and observe the daily life of the locals. The boat will cruise towards Cua Dai estuary and until Co Co River, then up to Mau Bay where you will visit the mangrove covered by Nipa palm trees.
Get off the boat and start walking in the area to discover the life of the inhabitants before boarding a traditional bamboo-woven round sampan to explore the area. You will have the chance to try yourself at fishing crabs by applying local fishing techniques.
Finally, go back to the vehicle. You will be driven back to Hoi An. End of the tour.
