Duration: 14 days 13 nights

This 14-day program is a perfect solution for educational trips to discover the beauty of Vietnam and learn more about the local culture.

Your group will have the opportunity to take part to different activities that will help you to interact with Vietnamese people, whether it is when you will interact with kids and teachers at a local school, visit kids at Hoa Binh Dioxin Center, and give a hand to monks in helping the children sheltered at Duc Son Pagoda.

You will also visit some of the best places in Vietnam: Hanoi, the formidable capital, Hue, the imperial city, Nam Dinh and its countryside, Paradise Cave and the DMZ in the Center, the peaceful town of Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta.

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi (-)

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be picked up by our driver and driven to Hanoi to check-in at the hotel.

In the evening, you will enjoy walking through the night market and do some shopping (the night market takes place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).

Day 2: Hanoi to Yen Bang – Nam Dinh Province (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven by bus 100km south of Hanoi to Nam Dinh Province.
Nam Dinh is located in Red River Delta, one of the country’s two”rice baskets”. You will arrive in a village and check-in at the homestay while meeting the family who will host you for the night.

You will enjoy a delicious lunch cooked by your host family.

In the afternoon, you will take a bicycle and visit visit the rural area to catch a glimpse of the local lifestyle, go through rice fields, and stop to visit some traditional handicraft villages specialized in lacquer and wood carving. 

Finally, you will go back to your homestay and have dinner with the host family.

Day 3: Yen Bang School: Teaching English & Team Building (B, L, D)

This morning, you will wake up early and go to the local market to buy ingredients for the afternoon for cooking class. Yen Bang’s market is a small trading place where people sell fresh vegetable, fish, poultry, etc. After shopping there, you will return to have breakfast with the host family.

At around 9:30am, you will go to Yen Bang Secondary School. Approximately 300 kids aged between 12 and 15 year old are enrolled in this school. There, you will attend a class and teach English to the kids through different activities such as helping them to learn simple words and playing games. 

You will have lunch with the teachers and the kids.

In the afternoon, you will have fun participating in some games with the kids and the local teachers.

After a nice day interacting with local kids, you will leave around 4:00pm and return to the home of your host family. There, you will attend a cooking class and learn to make some staples of Vietnam’s food such as spring rolls among others. Finally, you will enjoy a delicious dinner with your hosts.

Day 4: Nam Dinh – Ha Long Bay (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the homestay, it will be time to say goodbye to your host family and the local people of Yen Bang. Get onto the bus, as you will be driven through the Red River Delta. You will stop to visit Tran Temple in Nam Dinh City, a place depicting the history behind the most powerful dynasty in Vietnam’s History.

You will finally reach Ha Long around noon. You will board a private boat and enjoy a wonderful cruise in Ha Long Bay, a wonder of nature classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also have the chance to visit a fabulous cave, explore the bay with kayaks, and swim in emerald waters. Have a delightful day to appreciate the natural setting of Ha Long Bay.

Later, you will have a delicious dinner onboard and enjoy the evening on the boat.

Day 5: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi (B, L, D)

Have breakfast onboard while enjoying the cruise. You will also have lunch onboard before leaving the vessel and hop onto the bus waiting for you at the port. You will be driven back to Hanoi and arrive around 5:00pm.

Check-in at your hotel and have fun with our guide who will bring you show you some of the best spots for street food in the capital.

Day 6: Hanoi – visit of the city (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy a full day of visit in the capital.

First, you will go to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, and Ba Dinh Square. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will continue with the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo prison (Hanoi Hilton), Hoan Kiem lake before finally get onto a rickshaw to visit Hanoi Old Quarter.

Finally, you will enjoy an interesting water puppet show. Later in the evening, your guide will also lead you to good spots for street food.

Day 7: Hanoi – night train to Quang Binh (B, L, D)

This morning, you will visit the Hoa Binh Dioxin Center. This place helps kids and people affected by Agent Orange. There, you will interact with the kids and play with them while also distributing some gifts. You will bring smile to their faces while also enjoying a rewarding experience.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will have free time to relax and for shopping.

Dinner at a local restaurant before being transferred to the train station. You will leave Hanoi for Dong Hoi (Quang Binh Province) and spend the night in the train.

Day 8: Dong Hoi – Paradise Cave – Hue (B, L, D)

You will reach Dong Hoi in the early morning and have breakfast at Tan Binh Hotel.

After that, you will be driven to Paradise Cave and visit this amazing place.

You will have lunch at a local restaurant before leaving Quang Binh Province to go to Hue. You will stop several times along the way to visit Vinh Moc Tunnels and Hien Luong Bridge (sites of the DMZ), and Nam Vang Church in Quang Tri.

Later, you will finally reach Hue and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue – visit of the city (B, L, D)

Today, you will visit Hue, a very important city in Vietnam’s History and culture.

You will visit The Citadel and Thien Mu Pagoda. 

Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.

Then, you will go to visit Khai Dinh and Minh Mang Mausoleums, the tombs of two of the most powerful kings of Nguyen Dynasty. Finally, you will go to Dong Ba Market.

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Hue.

Day 10: Hue – Hoi An (B, L, D)

This morning, you will visit Duc Son Pagoda. This holy place is also a shelter for children aged between 1 and 16 years old, who are taking care of by the monks. You will give a hand to the monks and help them to take care of the children.

After lunch, you will leave Hue for a drive that will lead you to Hoi An. You will stop at Hai Van Pass, where you will enjoy the wonderful panoramic view on the beautiful landscape. Later, you will finally reach Hoi An and check-in at the hotel.

You will have free time in the evening.

Day 11: Hoi An – flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)

Have a nice breakfast before going for a visit in Hoi An Ancient City. You will go to Tan Ky House, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, and the Japanese Bridge.

Lunch at Streets, a restaurant training street children to cook.

You will have free time in the afternoon to enjoy the appeasing atmosphere of Hoi An and do some shopping, until the transfer by bus to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven to downtown Ho Chi Minh City, where you will check-in at the hotel.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L, D)

In the morning, you will be driven to the Mekong Delta.

When you will arrive, you will board a boat and enjoy a cruise that will lead you through this scenic place.

Later, you will go to An Binh Island in Vinh Long and check-in at the homestay. Then, you will tour by bicycle around the village and also participate in a cooking class organized by the family who will be your hosts for the night. After a nice dinner, you will close the day by attending a show performed by local musicians.

Day 13: Vinh Long – Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, D)

Wake up early in the morning to go to Can Tho and visit Cai Rang Floating Market. This is the biggest floating market in the area, where local trade goods from boat to boat. You will have the opportunity to observe the daily life of the locals.

Lunch at a restaurant in Can Tho before hoping onto the bus to be driven back to Ho Chi Minh City. Check-in at the hotel, before going to Muoi Xiem Restaurant where you will taste Saigon traditional food. After that, you will enjoy an evening walk and visit Ben Thanh Market.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City – visit of the city – departure (B)

This morning, you will visit some of the city’s major landmarks: Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and War Remnants Museum.

Lunch at local restaurant.

You will have free time in the afternoon until being picked up by the bus and driven to the airport for your departure flight.
