Day 1: Hanoi – Duong Lam – Nghia Lo (L, D) <Tuesday>
We leave Hanoi in the morning and drive towards Nghia Lo. Our first stop will be at the ancient village of Duong Lam, where you will discover old traditional houses with Vietnamese architecture. Aside from the houses, Duong Lam village consists of the following: village entrance gate, 100-year-old banyan tree, Mong Phu Communal House, and Mia pagoda.
We will then continue on the road and stop 50 km away from Duong Lam to see the first hills used for tea plantations, where farmers collect tea leaves. Later, we will drive up to Suoi Giang where we will visit the old tea garden, before going to a village inhabited by the H’Mong.
We will finally reach Nghia Lo. Check-in at a hotel then free time until we go to meet a local family and enjoy a delicious dinner with them.

Day 2: Nghia Lo – Tu Le – Khau Pha – Tu Le (B, L, D) <Wednesday>
Take in the fresh mountainous air by waking up in the early morning. Breakfast will be served at the hotel before making our way to Nghia Lo market, one of the biggest market in the area. There, you will see many hill tribes cladded in colorful costumes and exchanging different agricultural products.
Afterwards, we will drive on 50 km to Tu Le. Check-in at a hotel and lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will drive to Khau Pha Pass, where the view is astoundingly beautiful. From the top of Khau Pa Pass, we will start a trek downhill through the forest, rice fields, and ethnic villages.
On our way, we will stop to visit a Black H’Mong family and cross a small water stream where you will have the opportunity to bath and refresh yourself.
After visiting a Thai village, our driver will pick us up and take us back to the hotel.
Dinner and free time in the evening.
Day 3: Tu Le – Nga Ba Kim – La Pan Tan – Mu Cang Chai (B, L, D) <Thursday>
Today, we will drive to Mu Cang Chai, known for the most beautiful rice terraces in Vietnam. We will stop several times on the way in order to take amazing pictures. Once arriving to Nga Ba Kim, we will hike for 3 km until reaching La Pan Tan. There, we will visit a local school, then we continue to hike for 5 km down to the main road. We will also stop to visit a local family.
Upon reaching the main road, our driver will pick us up and we will continue our path to Mu Cang Chai.

Day 4: Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen – Sapa (B, L) <Friday>
Our travel to Sapa, a famous destination for tourists, begin with a visit to Than Uyen market and a drive up O Qui Ho Pass, one of the highest passes in Vietnam. We will also drive through Tram Ton Pass and visit Silver Waterfall before finally reaching our hotel in Sapa.
The afternoon will be dedicated to exploring Sapa. We will climb up to Ham Rong Mountain and enjoy the view of Sapa and Mount Fansipan.
Later, we will assist in a traditional performance by local ethnic people.
In the evening, you will be free to roam around Sapa and have dinner on your own. You’ll have among many choices of BBQ food in Sapa.
Day 5: Sapa – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa – Bac Ha (B, L) <Saturday>
Today, we will head to the Muong Hoa valley, blessed with beautiful rice terraces and home of many different ethnic groups.
We will start an easy hike through wonderful landscapes and visit Lao Chai village (home of the Black H’Mong ethnic group) and Giang Ta Chai village (home of the Red Dzao minority). You will have the opportunity to contemplate the beauty of a waterfall and a suspended bridge while discovering the lifestyle of the locals, their customs, and culture.

Then, we will walk back to the main road, where our bus will pick us up and bring back to Sapa. Get your luggage ready and transfer to Bac Ha.

Day 6: Bac Ha – Vu Linh – Thac Ba (B, L, D) <Sunday>
Wake up early in morning to have breakfast before going to Bac Ha market for an amazing experience. The entire market is as colorful as a field of flowers. It is a lively place where different ethnic groups gather to sale agricultural products and cattle.
Lunch at a local restaurant. After our meal, we hop on our bus on route towards Thac Ba located in Yen Bai Province, 160 km away.
Upon arrival, check-in at a hotel and free time for the rest of the day.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Thac Ba Lake – Hanoi (B, L) <Monday>
After breakfast, check-out of the hotel for a 15-km drive on to Yen Binh.
We will board a boat to cruise on the Thac Ba Lake and have a break to swim. We will visit a village on a small island and enjoy the quiet and beauty of this huge lake.
Our journey continues to Tu Ngoi village in Vu Linh Commune where we will take a small walk to visit the village and sight see before having lunch with a Dzao family.
After lunch, we will get on our bus to head back to Hanoi.
We will reach Hanoi in late afternoon.
