Hochiminh – Cuchi – Mekong delta – Hoian – Hue – Hanoi _ Halong bay – Vientian – Luangprabang – Phnom Penh – Siemriep.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Arrival (D) You are greeted and welcome by our guide at Tan Son Nhat airport and then be transferred to your hotel in the center of city. Time to visit Ben Thanh market. Having dinner at a restaurant and overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi (B/L) Breakfast at hotel and then get on our bus driving 70 km North West to Cuchi tunnel. The Cu Chi Tunnel system had been created long time back, from 1948 to assist Viet Minh in the combat with French. And it was continuing built over 25 years later. It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers. In places, it was housed up to 10,000 people who virtually lived underground for years.... getting married, giving birth. During the American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a free fire zone and was heavily bombarded. Drive back to Hochiminh. Lunch at a restaurant, in the afternoon, we will do city tour with visit War Museum, Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city. Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B/L) Heading out of the bustling city, we drive along rice field to My Tho, one of Mekong Delta province. Upon arrival in My Tho, we embark on a boat navigating around the small canals in the delta region, which passing My Tho fruit market. Joining in with daily activities of local people and enjoy the atmosphere of water world along the canal and along the Tien river. The exciting cruise continue to Unicorn island, here you can taste many seasonal fruits and enjoy the local traditional music, performed by the islanders. Having lunch at a typical country garden house. Next stops are the coconut candy “mill” and some other local industries in Ben Tre province. Drive back Ho Chi Minh for overnight
Day 04: Hochiminh – Hoian (B, L, D) Having breakfast at hotel and then you are transferred to airport for departure flight to Danang, On arrival pick up and transfer to hotel in Hoian for check in, In afternoon, we will start to visit Hoian town with Tan Ky house, Japanese Bridge, Fukien assembly …. Back to hotel and free in evening for shopping and visiting
Day 05: Hoian – Hue (B, L, D) Having breakfast at hotel and then we will pick you up to transfer to Hue, a former capital city, On the way we will stop over at Cham museum in Danang houses the world’s largest and finest collection of the Cham sculpture, with over 300 sandstone pieces exhibited in a building constructed in 1915 by the Ecole Francaise de Extreme – Orient. Many of the sandstone carvings such as altars, lingers, garudas, ganeshas and images of Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu are absolutely stunning, more stop on top of Hai Van pass for taking picture On arrival to Hue, chek in hotel and free until late evening we will get on dragon boat on Perfume river, enjoyed dinner on boat with traditional show. Back to hotel overnight at hotel
Day 06: Hue city (B, L, D) In morning, bus pick up and transfer to visit Hue city tour with visit the Tu Duc, Khai Dinh, Minhmang tombs, Each of them represents the spirit of the King buried inside, Lunch at a restaurant continue to visit Thien Mu pagoda one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious worship in Hue, visit the citadel including forbidden city, Thai Hoa temple, Ngo mon gate….via Dong Ba markets. Back to hotel and free in evening.
Day 07: Hue – Hanoi (B, L, D) After breakfast we will transfer you to Phubai airport for flight departure to Hanoi, on arrival pick up and transfer to Hanoi center for check in hotel In afternoon we will doing half day city tour to visit the most attractions of Hanoi: Hoan Kiem lake (the lake of the Restored Sword), Old quarter streets, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. Vanmieu literature temple The day end with a traditional cultural show of Vietnam - Water Puppet show. Over night in Hanoi.
Day 08: Hanoi – Halong bay (B, L, D) Breakfast at hotel and at 8.00 am we drive to Ha Long Bay with stop on the way for 15 minute break, arrival to Ha Long Bay wharf around 12.00, check – in registration, board on a Deluxe junks, welcome drink and have lunch on boat. The cruise will take you by exotic islets with shapes of Dog, Incense Urn, Fight Cocks, Finger islets and explore the mysteries of Sung Sot cave (Surprising cave). Swimming and relax at Titop beach. Dinner and overnight on boat. Day 9: Halong – Hanoi (B, L, D) Wake up early morning to admire the sunrise, Breakfast then paddle by small bamboo boat to visit Luon (grottoes) cave. Cruise to Bai Tu Long bay and sightseeing Fire island, Man Head island, Fishing village. Having lunch on boat and arrive at Ha Long wharf about 12.00 noon. Driving back to Hanoi, check in hotel and free in evening.
Day 10: Hanoi – Vientiane (B, L, D) After breakfast we have free time until transferring to airport for a flight to Vientiane. The charming and fascinating capital of Laos, Vientiane is located on the banks of the Mekong River. This small city conjures up exotic images, with the curious mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French influences. A city tour includes Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple still standing in Vientiane. The following sight is the former royal temple of Haw Pha Kaew, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We also visit the imposing Patouxai Monument well known as Vientiane's own Arc de Triomphe on our way to the great sacred structure of That Luang Stupa.
Day 11: Vientiene – Luang Prabang (B, L, D) The royal capital of the former Lane Xang Kingdom, Luang Prabang with its gleaming temple roofs, fading colonial architecture and stunning mountain backdrop retains an unique charm rarely found in all Asia. This morning we take a short flight to Luang Prabang. There is plenty to see in this delightful town, some of which are the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham and Wat Mai with five tiered roofs. We include these sights in a half day guided tour which ends with a climb to Phousi Hill for a beautiful sunset view of the town and the Mekong River. There are 329 steps leading us on zigzag way past various temples to the sacred, gilded stupa of Wat Phousi at the summit.
Day 12: Luang Prabang – Pakou – Luang Prabang (B, L, D) Today we continue seeing this town with the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, which nestles at the meeting of the Mekong and the Nam Khan River. The temple structures are decorated in various ways with gilded stuccoes and doorways while the main sim has a marvellous 'tree life' mosaic pattern on an outer wall. We board a boat for a leisurely trip on the Mekong River, stopping en route at Ban Xang Hai to visit the distillation of local rice wine. Upon leaving this village we wave our wave through the stunning mountain landscape to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. They are crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes, all brought there by devout villagers. After the river trip we drive towards Ban Phanom and visit the hand weaving.
Day 13: Luang Prabang – Vientiane (B, L, D) The exploration of Luang Prabang would not be complete without a visit to the national museum at the former Royal Palace. This interesting structure displays a lovely collection of treasures and artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. We then spend our time wandering through the charming streets until transferring to the airport for a short flight back to Vientiane. On arrival we head out to see the impressive Friendship Bridge which links Laos and Thailand, and the Buddha Park. This landmark represents a blend of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures created by mystical monk on a parkland located by the Mekong River. A perfect way to round off the day is to watch the spectacular sunset over the Mekong River from one of riverside bars.
Day 14: Vientiane – Phnom Penh (B, L, D) The following destination of our trip is Phnom Penh which was once considered the loveliest city of Indochina. Despite its recent turbulent history, it still maintains considerable charm. After a short flight we arrive in Phnom Penh and enjoy our city tour. The private quarters of the Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, well known for its 5000 silver tiled floor. We visit both structures as well as the National Museum for an appreciation of the splendour of Khmer history. Heading out of this area we explore the legendary temple of Wat Phnom, which provides an interesting view over the surroundings.
Day 15 : Phnom Penh – Siemreap – Angkor Temple (B, L, D) An early morning transfer to airport for flight to Siem Reap. This town is our base for exploring the world famous temples of the ancient city Angkor, which was the capital of the powerful Khmer Empire from 802 AD to 1350 AD. After checking into hotel, we drive to the archeological area to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of Leper King. The largest as well as most complete structure of Angkor Wat is not to be missed. We stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.
Day 16 : Siem Riep – Angkor Temple (B, L, D) The jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. The grand circuit with Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup Temples, is also visited this afternoon before we walk up to Phnom Bakheng Hill for a view of the spectacular sunset over these sandstone monuments.
Day 17 : Siem Riep departure (B) This morning we take a short cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia's biggest natural lake. Along the way we stop to visit a floating village and catch a glimpse of fishermen at work. This excursion is all depending on your departure time . The trip ends after your transfer to Siem Reap Airport for departure.
