The images that are easy to catch on all roads when coming to hamlets in the northwest highland are children being barefoot, no hat. They play and laugh together with innocence and honesty. The most obvious is the pure eyes, the bright and naive smile on their face.
Unlike urban children, the Northeast of Vietnam is a removed region, therefore the living conditions of children here are quite difficult and shortage of food, clothes, even the place for playing and studying.

The climate of the mountainous regions is mostly covered with cold fog throughout the year. Therefore, both baby and adult always wear thick clothes to keep warm. However, due to lacking of conditions, many mountainous children wear only thin layer of clothing . Moreover, the meals everyday rarely have meat, only white rice with watery broth. This situation makes the tourists feel deplore and choked.

Children in mountainous regions of Vietnam have to eat rice with yams and cassava everyday. With them, a nutritious meal with meat, fish and a full life with warm clothes, sandals are also a luxury dream which they have never thought of.
Many domestic and international visitors coming to the Nothwest have witnessed the difficult life, the shortage, the unhealthy meals of upland children. Be merciful with this hard situation, many visitors set up a charity fund and call everybody to share their hands for help children here to get enough food and warm clothes. These activities is an important contribution to help mountainous children have a more fulled and fille life.
