GP Travel Live Help

Now that we’re back in Australia, I wanted to say how successful our education tour was. As you know, I wanted a trip for my year 11 Religion and Society students that exposed them to the real Vietnam.  GP travel was the only company that didn’t want to just sell me the usual tour. I was amazed at some of the experiences that were organized all over Vietnam. The day at Ha Le school was so special for the students. It was far beyond my expectations. Having to teach English in such a remote place was unforgettable for them. Everything was thoroughly organized and when issues arose with health, weather etc., I was really impressed with the “plan B, C and D” that  Mr. Vinh had in place. He also did a great job in liasing with World Vision. I think he enjoys a new challenge! The Accommodation was what we wanted and the food was adequate, but we found that many students were not fans of seafood, so this might be decreased in future.

The staff, students and parents have raved about the trip and I’m excited about the greatly improved the written responses to development issues. This will now be an annual event for humanity students from our school. Please pass on our congratulations to Mr. Vinh on an outstanding job. The students still are talking about him with great affection. See you next year!

Dear Mr Le,

Thank you very much for the wonderful arrangement when we were in Hanoi.  It was a splendid trip especially to the Halong Bay.

Take care and bye....

Dear Le Xuan Thuy,

Just wanted to share my feelings about the tour in Viet Nam and Cambodia.

As a whole, I was very pleased. Traveling alone one often sees more negatives, but I thought your agency has done a fine job. The arrangements were well done and, in general, the itinerary was very good. The

three-star hotels were very good. They are much better than here in China; cleaner and with more professional services. I was also impressed with the level of English. We don't see that here in this country.

Here are a few suggestions to make it even better.

1. I know that drinks are to be paid by the tourist. However, it seems water is an essential item that should be supplied to the tourist. One reason being the tropical climate. Dehydration occurs rapidly. I found myself

dangerously dehydrated the first day. I had no foreign money in small amounts to buy liquids and none of the local currency. By afternoon I was close to fainting. Water should have been available in the car. I hope

you will consider that in the future. (The second day, at my request, water was available and I thank you for that.)

2. I think for a single of double tourist, the itinery could have some options. For instance, they may not want to shop. Or, there could be a choice of the tourist spots to see. Some people may want to see one

More than the other. I especially enjoy scenic or historical spots. Choices would make the tourist feel they have some say in what they will see.

3. Maybe a guide to tipping the guides and drivers would be good. In China there is no tipping, so I had no idea what would be appropriate. (I did tipas generously as I could.) I hope these suggestions will be helpful to you. I enjoyed my timethere!

Sincerely,
Richard Olson

Dear Mr Thuy,

I would like to say thank you once again for your excellent arrangements for my friends and I during our recent visit to your  country.

Our visit would not have been so successful without your help. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Zhang as well as all your colleagues who had shown us that Vietnamese are among the friendliest and most amazing people in the world. We will definitely be back and GP Travel will be our first choice.

Also, for your information. We are seriously thinking about investing in the hospitality industry in Vietnam. Currently, we are still in the midst of research and coming up with a profitable business plan. Perhaps, in the future, we may need your advise and a business co-operation between us may happen. Until then, we will be in touch.

So, once again, many thanks to you and Ms. Zhang for everything you  had done for us. May you be bless with good health and a properous year ahead.

 Best regards,
 Dave Yap

Chere Thuy
