The province of Kon Tum is located in the northern part of the Central Highlands. Kon Tum Plateau’s average altitude is 527m and the forest covers more than 50% of its surface. The local economy is mainly focused on agriculture (including cassava, rubber and coffee).



Kon Tum is a peaceful town with some interesting places, such as the Wooden Church (or Mountaineer Church) made of wood and built in 1913. Kon Tum is also remarkable for its artistic blend of local tradition and Christian symbols. You can also find elephants there, and many other things that are worthy of a visit.

Indeed, several ethnic villages of Sedang, Bahnar, Jarai, Gieh Trieng and Rengao minority groups can be found around Kon Tum town. Each one of these villages has a Rong, a large and impressive communal house where inhabitants gather for special occasions.
