In the past, during the French colonization era, Sapa was a renowned summer resort and today, its rice terraces and its fabulous mountains have transformed it in one of the most famous destinations in Vietnam.

Thac Ba Lake

Thac Ba Lake is located at 154 km from Hanoi, which roughly translates into 3 hours and 30 minutes of road. This lake was formed during the construction of the dam on the Chay River, and today is the biggest artificial lake in Vietnam.

This district is located at 30 km from Nghia Lo and belongs to Yen Bai province. It is a wild region where you can find beautiful rice terraces. The ethnic minorities of Tram Tau, mostly represented by the Green H’Mong and Thai groups, dresses in splendid costumes.

Located at 50 km from Nghia Lo, at the foothills of Khau Pha range and on the road to Mu Cang Chai, the valley of Tu Le has its own, unique identity. This area is famous for its sticky rice and its grilled pork. Its rice terraces landscapes are simply spectacular. Among the local ethnic minorities: the Thai and Dzao groups.
