Lang Son is province in North-East Vietnam that shares a border with China. It is a region made of mountains and dense forests, which make up almost 80% of its territory, and where a lot of valuable species of wood are found, but also home to wild animals (most notably tigers, leopards, bears and deer). Anise oil and yellow tobacco leaves are the local specialties.




Regarding tourism, the province of Lang Son is best known for the pretty town of Dong Dang, Vong Phu Rock, the archaeological site of Bac Son, Tien Pagoda and Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh caves.
